Rainy Day Mopes

It was so nice outside this morning! After I dropped Ethan off at school we took a nice long walk. Then, they kiddos wanted to play on their scooters so I brought out a camping chair and started some knitting while they were playing. It started getting chilly, and we heard the thunder rolling so, we moved inside. Jacob and Eva parked a couple of chairs in front of the back door to watch the rain come down and make the back yard nice and puddly.

Now, I don't have the slightest inkling to do anything. I am just going to enjoy myself by doing nothing. Is there laundry to be done or dishes waiting? Sure there are. . . but they can wait.
There is always something waiting to be done. But today, I am going to lounge.

February Project

So, I bought a great big L-Shaped desk at the auction for a whole $2. It is solid, but definately needs to be painted. I was putting this project of sanding it and repainting it for February. It has been sitting in the garage since before the holidays. James was lucky to have someone in his parents ward give him a large multi tool/saw workstation. He will be picking it up on Saturday. My February project has now become a rush and get it done this week project!

I got the first half basically done on Tuesday, took yesterday off, and started sanding the largest half today. The muscles in my arms are spasming from sanding so much. I will finish sanding tomorrow and start painting tomorrow too. I will post a picture of it when I am done.

The Black Hole

I started cleaning out the office yesterday and am about 2/3 of the way done. I can't wait for it to be done!

Happy New Year!

Yay! Did you have a good new years Eve? Do anything fun? After three weeks of staying up late and going places we went to bed early. James was not feeling well and I was ready to hit the hay after taking care of the sick. I felt like calling out ,"Bring out your dead!".

So. . . my first New Year's resolution is to clean my computer room. It is the place everything goes to get lost. It is the black hole of my house. Everything is sucked into it. It is the Pit of Dispare!

I am going to take the weekend to relax and veg. and then I will clean this heap on Monday.
